About

Gamer nerd ๐Ÿค“ with a (potentially?) unhealthly obsession with educating and solving problems for other gamers. Most call me Rio.

Projects

A few of the personal/passion projects (among many) that Iโ€™ve desgined and built over the last few years. ๐Ÿš€

  • ChampionsQueue.gg

My latest joint for the League of Legends community ๐ŸŽฎ. Focused around providing the best possible UX experience for the NA Champions Queue competitive ladder. The official site just wasn't cutting it so I wanted to see how far I could push the limits of UX using the exact same data the offial site uses.

  • LoL Shop

Like my other project RuneForge, Lol Shop was designed as an educational tool to introduce and guide players into the comprehensieve LoL item overhaul. Starting to see a bit of a pattern? ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • RuneForge

An educational web-app with the goal of helping to ease players into the massive League of Legends Season 8 pre-season" Runes Reforged" update.

  • World Forge

Turns out I'm a massive MMO nerd ๐Ÿ”ฎ. My MMO roots go way back. When New World was announced, I couldn't help myself but to dip my toe into exploring opportunities to apply my UX problem solving skills to the unique game design problems of the game.

Misc.

In my free time I like to explore my passion with miscellaneous side projects. These projects are important to me in a lot of ways but mainly because they're an opportunity for me to learn. Often times these side projects lead to much bigger things and I owe a *lot* of my career growth to this kind of exploration.

Music

Follow along ๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽผ

Most of my music listening these days is done through Spotify (LoFi Girl if I'm working). I've been using the platform for well over a decade now, and the vast majority of that is strictly just Discover Weekly and Release Radar because there are few things I love more than finding new music (nachos being one of them).

I have a master playlist that I've kept updated for over 10 years now. It's a bit of a time capsule and you can clearly trace the different music phases I've gone through over the years.

Movies

Follow along ๐ŸŽฅ๐ŸŽฌ๐Ÿฟ

Similar to the above music diary, I plan to catalogue the movies I watch throughout 2023. Unlike the music I won't have dedicated week-by-week posts, but rather a long running list of things I see as I see them (some may be movies that came out in late 2022, sorry).

Contact

I'm "incredibly online" so there are a number of ways to reach me. Pick your poison ๐Ÿงช
